Analyst specialised in the European Television and On-Demand Services Industry
Based in Strasbourg, France, as part of the Council of Europe, the European Audiovisual Observatory brings together 41 member states to gather and distribute information on the audiovisual industry throughout Europe. Reporting to the Head of Information on Markets and Financing, you will contribute to key research projects that help inform and shape the industry.
We will look to you to collect detailed information for the Observatory MAVISE database and Yearbook, draft reports and technical notes on the European audiovisual market and present your findings at a number of conferences. At the same time, you will actively network with industry stakeholders and contribute to the broader development of the Department, so every day will bring different challenges.
Sound professional experience of writing socio-economic studies and reports on the audiovisual sector is essential, ideally backed by a qualification in economics, business, political science or communication. Naturally, you will be fully versed in the European television landscape, capable of analysing complex problems, and adept at collating information and drawing meaningful conclusions. Finally, you should be fluent in either English or French, with a good command of the other language, and preferably knowledge of German.
